It really looks like a building
now - walls and windows...albeit plastic ones. All 4 sides of the
building have walls!
The north side of the building is sheeted in
plastic and underneath the brick and stone is being placed - looks
great!!

With the COLD weather the progress has been a bit slower - but still
moving forward. The second floor
pre-cast
and steel roof beams have been placed. Stone was installed on
the trash enclosure and some lucky carpenters worked on interior walls
in the warm basement! Exterior walls will be next! - Pam O'Connell

Last update for 2006 and the
heavy equipment came! The steel beams were delivered and the concrete
floor placed. The concrete pieces weigh between 6000 and 10,000 pounds
each! The 'tower' in the pictures in the elevator shaft, which is now
complete too. It's starting to look like a building!
Happy New Year! - Pam O'Connell

We've been taking advantage of the mild weather this week. The final
utility lines were moved this week - they were running through the back
10 feet of the building. The North Wall is being formed and the other 3
walls have been water proofed. In one photo you can see the start of the
elevator shaft. Check out the shots!

BRRR it's COLD out there!!! As these photos
show, the South Wall was formed this week and a small parade of Cement Trucks
visited - just 6 this time. So now we have 3 Walls poured - they will work on
the North Wall next week. - Pam O'Connell
12/1/06
This week started out BIG - 14 truck loads of cement were poured! The shape of
the building
is formed, the West wall is poured and by the end of the week the
East wall was being formed.
Check out the shots! - Pam O'Connell

The site changed this week to reveal our building footprint. As the
second set of photos show,
the footings are
started and the retaining wall is almost complete. Let's hope
for mild weather
through 2006! - Pam O'Connell

Hello Heartland Members! I hope you are as excited about this new
building as we are! I will update you weekly via this site with
pictures and progress notes. This first set of pictures shows site
preparation, installation of utilities and the start of our retaining
wall. The City of Inver Grove Heights issued our Building Permit on
Nov. 9 so you will see building footings soon. Stay tuned...more to
come. - Pam O'Connell
